Paris, France
Welcome back everyone to my second blog post. In this post I will be writing about another favourite travel location of mines which is the romantic city of Paris! Similar to my first blog post I will be sharing recommendations on sights to visit, where to eat and places to stay. I have visited Paris on two separate occasions at different times of year, once in the late spring and once in the early winter, so this blog post will be all about the best way to spend your time in Paris during these different seasons. Enjoy!
Sights to see and places to visit
The number one monument that I would recommend visiting in Paris during any time of year is of course the iconic Eiffel Tower. I would recommend that you visit the Eiffel tower around sunset time, as begins to get dark the lights shimmer every hour for five minutes showing the tower to be beautifully illuminated as seen in the video below.
The city stretches out before you from the dome’s terrace, with iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre, all forming a mesmerising tapestry. If you want to get the best view of the city from up above this is definitely your spot to visit no matter the time of year.
Next, it wouldn’t be a trip to Paris if you don’t at least try to get to Disneyland! I went to Disneyland in the month of May which I believe is a good time to go as it is just before the peak crowd months of June, July and August hit and it isn’t as warm as it would be when visiting in the summer. The weather was perfect for walking around and going on amusement rides. Although I’ve never been in the winter I know Disneyland would be at its most magical around that time of year as the park is converted in Christmas decorations and there is a possibility of snow, so I would highly recommend November/December as the best months to visit.
Lastly, I would like to mention the hidden gem that is Tuileries Garden, if you are looking to go somewhere peaceful with all the nature vibes I would recommend visiting Tuileries as it is the oldest and biggest Parisian garden and has the most beautiful, calming waterfall located right in the centre.
Where to eat
Paris is filled with many restaurants and cafes but knowing which ones to choose is the tricky part. For the best hot chocolate and Macarons in Paris I would recommend the famous Carette, both the cafe and its food are not only extremely picturesque but very tasty too and it’s a short walk from the Eiffel Tower which is why the cafe may be considered pricey.

Another restaurant that I would recommend visiting in Paris is the Mokus l'Écureuil, I ordered the Lasagna and the brownie with vanilla Gelato for dessert, the food was beautiful and reasonably priced.
There are many options of stay but from personal experience I would suggest the Prince Albert Montmartre hotel if u wish to be around the city centre, our hotel room was quiet at night and we had a great view of the city, if you are an adult travelling i would highly recommend this hotel which I will link down below: https://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/ha-tel-prince-montmartre . The Explorers Hotel Marne-la-Vallée is another great option if you are travelling with a young family to visit Disneyland which is outside of the city, the hotel provides buses that take you to and from Disneyland and has themed bedrooms for kids to enjoy.
